  • The test strips containing ascorbic acid are pressed directly onto the cut surface of fruit to determine the vitamin C content of raw and cooked fruits and vegetables. The test is very simple and consists only of dipping or pressing the strip onto the fruit and reading the result. The result is displayed immediately. For use in the lab and classroom.

  • The color reaction is based on the formation of phosphomolybdenum blue.
  • Evaluation
  • The color fields are assigned to the following concentrations:
  • 0 (negative), 10 (+) and 20 (++) mg/dl or 0 (negative), 0.6 (+) and 1.1 (++) mmol/l
