  • practice reading, writing, and spelling with this game – in a playful way. Who can use the correct letters to spell the word that matches their picture? How do you spell "frog"? What letter does "knight" begin with? The cheeky parrot on the spinner shows the children how many letters they are allowed to take. On the back of the picture, the children check whether the word is spelled correctly. In this way, they collect and solidify their first reading skills. Their language development and concentration are promoted. "The Reading Rat" – promotes reading motivation, text comprehension, and cooperation. This game is suitable for 1 to 4 children aged 6 and up. In this game, they have to chase a rat that is gnawing its way through the bookshelf. To stop the voracious rodent, the children read various task cards together. Based on what they have understood, they slide the matching pictures together on the reversible game board – and they must do this before the rat has gnawed its way through the entire shelf. The tasks come in 2 difficulty levels, so the learning fun can be increased even further. The tried-and-tested Mildenberger syllable method, with its color-coded syllables, makes it particularly easy for children to read and understand the texts. "The Cheeky Talking Witch" – promotes language skills, attentive listening, and clear speech with rhyming words. This game prepares children aged 4 and up for later reading and writing. Two to four children have the task of finding magic potion ingredients that rhyme. They ask themselves questions like: What rhymes with "house"? What sounds similar to "toad"? Attentive listening and correct pronunciation help them. Using the red disc, the children can check for themselves whether they are correct. As a reward, they stir the ingredients into the magic potion. To make the game more varied, there are 2 additional variations: similar-sounding words (like bears and berries) and a memory game for initial sounds. 3 Learning Games with Self-Checking The learning game set consists of 3 games from the "Learning Through Play" series.
