Pour 2/3 of the batter into the tin and smooth it out. Mix the remaining batter with the mixture containing cocoa and milk. Spread the dark batter over the light batter and pierce with a fork to create a marbled pattern. Sift half of the decorative sugar directly onto the batter. 3 Bake Place the tin on the oven rack. Position: bottom third. Baking time: about 45-50 minutes. Test for doneness after 45 minutes. To do this, pierce the center of the cake with a wooden skewer. If the skewer is dry and no batter sticks to it, the cake is done. Immediately, carefully loosen and remove the springform pan rim using a table knife. Allow the cake to cool completely on the springform pan base on a wire rack. Turn the cake out onto a chopping board or flat plate lined with baking paper and carefully peel off the baking paper. Place the cake plate on top of the cake and turn it back on its original position. Sprinkle with the remaining decorative sugar before serving.
