With Dr. Oetker's Gelfix 3:1, you can prepare delicious homemade jams in no time. Dr. Oetker's Gelfixes are cooking aids for jams, marmalades, and jellies. Take washed, clean fruit or juice, add Gelfix and sugar, cook for 1-2 minutes, and the jam is ready. Now all you have to do is fill it into boiled jars. Thanks to this short cooking time, the fruit retains most of its vitamins and its beautiful color. For traditionalists there is Zelfix 2:1 (1 kg fruit + 0.5 kg sugar) and for those who want to reduce the amount of sugar, Zelfix 3:1 (1 kg fruit + 350 g sugar).

Method of use: Preparation: 1. Weigh 1 kg of washed, stemmed and chopped fruit or measure 0.9 l of juice. 2. Mix Gelfix thoroughly with the fruit or juice. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. 3. Add 0.35 kg sugar. Bring back to a boil and cook for another 2 minutes (cook cherries and less chopped fruit for 3 minutes). Remove from the heat and stir until the foam disappears. Pour the hot jam or jelly into jars (up to the rim) and seal immediately. Turn the jars upside down for about 5 minutes. Tips: - To keep the color fresh and to sharpen the flavor of jams made from particularly sweet fruits, you can add the juice of one lemon or a pinch of Dr. Oetker's citric acid. - If you are making jam from a large amount of fruit, use the following ratio: 2 kg fruit + 2 Gelfix + 700 g sugar. It is not recommended to use more ingredients at once. - With Dr. Oetker's Gelfix you can also make jams from vegetables such as tomatoes, peppers or zucchini.
