Description
  • Description
  • Every glass from Cristallerie Saint-Louis is a small work of art. The "Tommy" drinking glasses are even crafted using three different cutting techniques: faceted, spherical, and diamond cuts. Elaborately made and rich in detail, the classic "Tommy" from 1928 is one of the most sought-after creations of glass art.
  • A striking feature: The "Tommy" dinner glasses are relatively small compared to other drinking glasses. The red wine glass holds only 0.17 liters, the white wine glass 0.11 liters.
  • The fame of these perfectly formed Saint-Louis dinner glasses was established by a legendary dinner in 1938: On the occasion of a visit by King George Vi, each guest's place setting in the Hall of Mirrors at the Palace of Versailles was set with eleven glasses from the "Tommy" series. The distinguished guests were delighted.
  • Even today, every glass in the Saint-Louis "Tommy" series is crafted with the utmost artistry and precision. The production of a single "Tommy" glass takes ten days and employs ten glassblowers for the mold and five glass cutters for the cut.

Product Safety
  • It is recommended to clean by hand with a soft sponge and mild dish soap. Place glasses on a paper towel, allow to drip dry, and dry with a soft, lint-free cloth.
  • Do not put products with gold or platinum decorations in the dishwasher, do not use white vinegar, and dry thoroughly; do not use abrasive materials, bleach, or rubber.
  • Clean carafes and jugs with lukewarm water; do not allow wine to stand. To remove tannin or limescale deposits, use equal parts white vinegar and lukewarm water. Place a sheet of paper towel in the neck to dry.
  • Pre-warm tea glasses and pre-chill ice buckets to avoid temperature shock.
  • Note for candle holders: to avoid thermal shock, change the candle when the flame is 6 cm from the crystal. It is recommended to use a candle snuffer.
